About Me

Hi all I am a 40 something crafter who like many started on this path at a very young age. I appear to come from a fairly long line of creative people. I hang very proudly in my living room a photo of my great grandmother sat at the table sewing for a client. My nan also did a great deal of sewing as did my mum. This bug was soon passed onto me and I am now the still very proud owner of a Frister and Rossman cub sewing machine. Although not used in a while I cannot bare to part with it.

With the encouragement of my mum I have tried a good many crafts over the years. She often took me to craft parties hosted by my late Auntie Hazel who was very creative herself. Through these parties I learned macrame, fabric painting and cross stitch to name just a few. These forays would hold me in great stead much later in life when I choose which G.C.S.E's I would sit. With all that creativity I just had to do Fashion and Textiles at which I gained a good grade but not the A I'd really wanted.

After leaving school I continued with my cross stitch on and off for several years. It was whilst reading a cross stitch magazine that mentioned a craft show that was being held at The Three Counties Showground in Malvern. I suggested it to my mum who thought it might be a bit of fun, so we went along. From the moment I saw a lady stamping and heat embossing that was it............... I was hooked!!!
